Debt Goals

I would like to start setting some personal debt goals in order to try to reduce my debt a little more quickly. I am currently working on a few ways of increasing my income, but in order to reduce debt I will also have to find ways of reducing my expenses. One of my money spending issues is with eating out. I eat out every Friday at lunch with a coworker. I am not ready to give this up and I am not sure it is necessary. Eating out is a big issue with me and it is one of the places where I can cut back on spending.

My goal for this week is to eat in for lunch 4 days this week. This should also help with my weight loss efforts, seeing how it is easier to control calorie intake anywhere that is not a restaurant.

I will also be looking for other ways of saving money. This will be a challenge, because I spend very little money on things that are not food. I seems once I get my issues with food in order, it may become easier for me to eliminate my debt.

Making Extra Money

I have spent part of the evening looking for some other streams of income. I have a lot of debt and am trying to make extra money to pay it down. Currently, I write blog posts for payment and fortunately it something I enjoy. If I didn’t like it, I would have to have a part time job outside my home.

The more streams of income I have, the sooner I will find my way out from under this debt. I have been researching text link ads sales. There are several companies out there that handle the sale and moderation of text ads between advertisers and publishers. I am trying to find out what the earning potential is for the ads and what your site has to have to qualify, among other things. If you have any suggestions, let me know. I am currently researching Text Link Ads and Linkworth, so far.

Talk to others about Saving Money

There is a lot to be said for paying your debt. I am firm believer in coming up with a plan for paying your debt before you starting working on saving. Saving is also an important part of your financial plan. I do a lot of casual reading about all types of subjects. Today I came across this forum for people interested in saving money. Some of the members are just trying to get started saving, others have a plan in place and talk about how they are going to add to theirs savings and some people talk about their progress in saving for something specific. So, if you are interested in talking with others about saving money this forum is the place to be.
